Recyclable Cars
Salvaging old car parts is far from a new idea — in fact, this process
has been around since long before it was ever officially called
"recycling."
But now, automakers are deliberately choosing to build new cars with
reusable materials. Some, such as the 2010 Toyota Prius and the 2010
Lexus HS 250h hybrid sedan, claim to be 85 percent recyclable. Swedish
(and now, Chinese) auto manufacturer Volvo has built 85 percent
recyclable cars since 2002. And if you're ready for a real shocker, the
Bentley Continental is 85 percent recyclable, too. But then, it should
also be pointed out that more than 70 percent of all Bentley cars ever
built are still parked in garages and museums — not the junkyard.
